What this website collects, and what we do with it

Who we are

sellmydata.com is operated by 6 Degrees Management Group LLC (“SellMyData”, “we”). You can reach us at micki@sellmydata.com.

What we collect

• Estimate requests. Industry, team size, years of history, the tools you use, your work email and, if you give it, your company website. The same fields arrive through the API when an agent or script requests an estimate for you, along with the name of the agent.
• Data requests from labs. Organization, work email, the data types and history you need, and anything you write in the free-text fields.
• Email. Whatever you send us, and our replies.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard logs, which include IP addresses, for a short period.
• Visit counts. We use Plausible Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages they read and where they came from, in aggregate. It sets no cookies and doesn’t collect personal information.

We don’t use advertising cookies, and our analytics set none either. The only cookie this site sets is a session cookie in the staff-only admin area, when a staff member signs in.

Why we use it

To reply to you: to send an estimated range, to answer a data request, and to carry on the conversation you started. We don’t use your details for anything else, and we don’t send marketing email.

We don’t sell your personal information

The name of this company describes what companies can do with their own de-identified business data, under written agreements. It does not describe what we do with information about you. We never sell, rent or share the personal information of people who visit this site or contact us.

Where it goes

Form and API submissions are stored by Netlify, which hosts this site, and are emailed to our Google Workspace inbox. Both are U.S. companies, so your information may be stored in the United States. Visit counts are processed by Plausible Analytics, which is based in the EU.

Company exports

If your company goes on to work with us, the exports you share are handled as described on the Security page: kept in a restricted Google Drive folder, accessible to the founder only, and deleted within 30 days of you approving the de-identified dataset, or immediately on request. People’s names, contact details and identifiers are removed before any lab sees anything; see de-identification.

How long we keep it

Form submissions and email are kept for as long as we’re in a conversation with you, and deleted when you ask. Company exports follow the retention rule above.

Your choices

Email micki@sellmydata.com to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. We’ll confirm by email when it’s done. If you’re in the EU, the UK, California or another place that gives you additional rights over your personal information, we’ll honor those rights as the law requires.

Children

This site is for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and the effective date at the top.
