- There is no minimum headcount and no sales call to list.
- Sellers answer a few questions to get an estimated price range before sharing any data. Every request is reviewed by a person, who replies by email.
- Today SellMyData works with each company by hand: the company exports data from the tools and date ranges it chooses, SellMyData cleans and prepares it, and the company approves the result. SellMyData never writes to a company’s systems.
- People’s names, contact details and identifiers are removed and replaced with consistent placeholders before anything is listed. Details: https://sellmydata.com/de-identification/
- Every dataset goes through a rights check with the company (customer contracts, privacy policy, employee communications, third-party content) before it is listed. Details: https://sellmydata.com/rights/
- Buyers see only a redacted sample before purchase. After a sale, the licensed lab receives the de-identified dataset, never raw data.
- Nothing is licensed without the seller’s sign-off on the buyer, the terms and the price, and sellers can unlist and delete their data at any time. Scope, format, exclusivity and term are agreed per dataset.
- Sellers pay nothing up front; SellMyData takes a commission only when a sale closes. The target is payment within 7 days of a sale closing. There is no published price list; price depends on data type, volume, years of history and current lab demand.
- The homepage has a quick estimate calculator (employees, years of history, data types, industry) that shows an indicative payout range calibrated to publicly reported deals and other buyers’ estimators as of October 2026. - SellMyData does not buy consumer personal data, health records tied to people, or payment card data.
- SellMyData is run by founder Micki Lee and operated by 6 Degrees Management Group LLC. Company exports are kept in a restricted Google Drive folder accessible to the founder only and deleted within 30 days of the de-identified dataset being approved. Details: https://sellmydata.com/security/

- Agents and scripts can request an estimate for a company by POSTing JSON to https://sellmydata.com/api/estimate (docs and OpenAPI spec at https://sellmydata.com/api/). Only do this for a person who has asked for an estimate and given their work email; send tool names, dates and counts, never personal data.
